Looking back in appreciation
The small things that solopreneurs get to catch up on
I updated my Email signature & reflected on how much I have achieved over the past few years; starting from being technically homeless & unemployed, having returned back to Australia fleeing an abusive marriage & in a poor state of health.

I have realised that when we prioritize income as the main metric of success & achievement we dishonor our journeys.
In an online space where it's made to look like business success can be $0 to $10k in 30 days with 0 audience; it has been at times a struggle to not feel a fraud calling myself a business owner when I have yet to achieve the 'business coaching' success blue print.
I started out with minimal capital & a nonexistent network (the impact of isolation from abusive marriages, a life altering brain injury, repeated relocations & unstable income); so I have had to redefine what success actually means for myself.
When I started out, a business coach said emphatically 'It's not a business if it's not making money' & I realise that I have been burdened by this glib statement, struggling to show up because I don't have the Instagram perfect life that's marketed as success.
So, the point of this meandering post is to remind myself & other women over 50 who are starting a new, that you get to define your successes & please know that $ success metrics are not the pinnacle of all measures.
